September 2012 Message from Commissioner Brinly
As you know, we are in the midst of the internal
launch phase of the branding initiative. As we continue our work to achieve the
brand promise, improve our services and focus more on our customers, many of you
are looking forward to when we will begin the external launch phase. In fact,
one of the most common questions I hear around the offices throughout the state
is, When are we going to tell folks we will be the Kentucky Career Center?
Our target external launch date is January 2013. The Branding and Outreach
steering committee determined this timeframe will allow us to properly monitor
the completion of our new user-friendly website and the creation and
installation of new office signs. The target date also gives time for our One
Stop Certification and Workforce Development Academy to get underway. These
programs will ensure that we are setting the same high standards and providing
high-quality service throughout all offices statewide.
The Branding and Outreach steering committee is a decision-making group made up
of partners that encompass the workforce development system. The group meets
monthly to discuss the upcoming plans, process and procedures which relate to
the rollout of the branding initiative. It is led by Brand Management Specialist
Holly Neal.
